How is Jimmy Fallon doing on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’?
It would not have been easy for Jimmy Fallon or anyone else to replace Conan O’Brien on the hit late night talk show Late Night with Conan O’Brien. And I am sure it would have been the same kind of feeling for Conan O’Brien, when he replaced Letterman on Late Night with David Letterman. Though I was quite young at that point of time, but the reviews for the early show tell me that the audiences did not like Conan O’Brien much and it was quite late in the show that they started liking him. And once they started liking him, then there was no looking back for the host. It was only after 16 years that Conan O’Brien decided to leave the show and then came Jimmy Fallon, with the show name changing to Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
Jimmy Fallon is going through the same phase of life as Conan O’Brien went through many years ago. It is pretty disheartening that the audiences are not laughing much on the jokes of Jimmy Fallon.
While I was going through the views of people, I didn’t find even a single positive review. Most of them felt that he is a cute guy with no great sense of humor. They felt that he tries to force himself with the petty jokes that he makes. And the worst thing that people dislike about the show is that Jimmy calls upon his friends on the show and then talks to them on a personal level, which actually none of the common people would be interested in knowing. This makes the show quite boring and meaningless for the viewers.
Though, Fallon tries to leave a good impression on the audiences, by getting intimate to them and answering their questions during the intervals but nothing like Conan O’Brien. Well, all I would like to say is that it is just a matter of time, and after some time most likely we would start enjoying him too on the late night show. So let’s wait and watch if Jimmy gets familiar with the show and also with what exactly people are looking for from him and the very famous late night show.
